Delete your account
How to delete your Trovalo account - in the app, or by email if you can't open it - and what goes with it.
This page is for Trovalo, the trip planner by Aly Badawy, on iPhone, iPad and Android.
In the app
- Open Trovalo and sign in.
- On your trips list, tap your picture or initials at the top to open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.
It happens right away, on every device you use.
Without the app
Email us from the address you sign in with (for Sign in with Apple's "Hide My Email", the address that forwards to you) and ask for your account to be deleted:
We'll confirm it's you by replying to that address, then delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and let you know when it's done.
What's deleted
- Your sign-in, your email address and your name
- Your travel documents and their scans
- Your payment usernames (Venmo, PayPal, Revolut)
- Your push tokens and notification settings
- Your seats and purchase records, and Apple's sign-in token for Trovalo
What stays, for the others
Trips are shared, so they stay whole for the people still in them. What you added - plans, photos, comments, expenses - stays in those trips under the name you used there, shown as a guest without an account, so nobody's balance changes. If you were a trip's organizer, someone else in it takes over. To remove something from a trip first, delete it in the app, or delete trips you organize, before you delete your account.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account doesn't cancel Trovalo Plus - the store bills it. Cancel it on iPhone or iPad in Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions; on Android, in Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions.
